Lucifer, which recently wrapped up its fifth season, follows debonair fallen angel Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis), who discards a life of divine duties to become a club owner and later a consultant with Los Angeles police, after being banished from Heaven. The series also stars Lauren German as Detective Chloe Decker, and much of the series revolves around Lucifer and Chloe’s romance.
While the first season did not leave a mark, the following seasons have consistently been hailed for its dark humour and Ellis’ performance. The show was cancelled after the first three seasons by Fox but later picked up by Netflix for three more instalments.
