Though M Padmakumar's romcom Queen Elizabeth, which has Narain and Meera Jasmine in the lead, is yet to hit theatres, the makers have already sold its OTT and satellite rights. After its theatrical run, the film will begin streaming on Zee5 and will be telecast in Zee Keralam.

A new poster that director Tinu Pappachan shared on Facebook has already gotten a lot of positive feedback from netizens. Remarks have been made pointing out similarities between the poster of a recent Telugu film, Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty, and Queen Elizabeth’s latest one.

Rakshadhikari Baiju-fame Arun T Sathyan has written the script, while Akhilesh Mohan is the editor. Mallika Sukumaran, Ramesh Pisharody, and Shwetha Menon are also among the other lead artists in this film. Blue Mount Production will be bringing the film to theatres.

Narain and Meera Jasmine team up after 15 years for Queen Elizabeth

Queen Elizabeth will see the return of Malayalam’s most loved on-screen pair, Narain and Meera Jasmine, after 15 years. Together, the pair have acted in several movies, including Achuvinde Amma and Minnaminnikoottam.

Fans were drawn to the duo's pictures from the movie's pooja ceremony that were posted on various social media platforms. The poster, which was later released by the makers, gave a hint of the film being a family entertainer. According to sources, Narain will portray Alex, a 35-year-old character, in Queen Elizabeth.

Meera Jasmine made her comeback with Sathyan Anthikkad’s Makal, released in 2022, starring opposite Jayaram. She played the role of a teenager’s mother, Juliet, in the film. The Malayali audience enthusiastically welcomed the actress's return, despite the film's poor box office performance.

Narain's upcoming projects

Narain, who has been busy with several Tamil projects, including Vikram and Iraivan, will be playing the lead in a Malayalam film after a while. His last Malayalam film was Jude Anthany Joseph's 2018, in which he played a fisherman, Winston. He will be playing a prominent role in the upcoming films of Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Cinematic Universe.
