Pushpa The Rise release date: When and where to watch the Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna starrer on OTT

Pushpa: The Rise- Part 1, the action entertainer starring Allu Arjun in the title role, written and directed by Sukumar, is gearing up for its OTT premiere. Jointly produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Muttamsetty Media, the film featured Dhananjaya, Fahadh Faasil, Sunil and Anasuya Bharadwaj in crucial roles as well. As speculated, the actioner will release on Amazon Prime Video on January 7 at 8 pm across four languages including Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Kannada.

Revolving around the red sandalwood mafia, Pushpa The Rise may not have garnered great reviews from critics but went onto amass over Rs 300 crore across five languages. With word of mouth and Allu Arjun's proven crowd-pulling abilities, there was no stopping this visual feast from succeeding at the box office. The film's spectacular album by Devi Sri Prasad with songs like Daakko Daakko Meka, Saami Saami and Oo Antava Mama Oo Oo Antava captured the imagination of music lovers across the globe.

Even as the film's victorious run is still continuing in theatres, the makers opted for an OTT release early to avoid clash with Rajamouli's magnum opus RRR. In places in Andhra Pradesh where the film hasn't brought in profits to distributors yet, the producers Y Ravi Shankar and Naveen Yerneni have promised to compensate them with the money they've raised from the OTT deal with Amazon Prime Video. Interestingly, the film's Hindi version is slated to hit theatres in the US from tomorrow.

Cinematographed by Miroslaw Kuba Brozek, the film is edited by Karthika Srinivas. The second part of the film has been titled Pushpa The Rule Part 2.
