Sukumar is not only a popular director and has made some big films in his career. But the moment Pushpa was released, he has been ranked as the most celebrated director in the country. Apart from direction, Sukumar also runs a production house named Sukumar Writings. He produces content-driven films and last made Virupaksha which he also penned the story. The film was a blockbuster hit at the box office and made close to Rs 50 crores.
Well, the same team is back again now and has announced a new film today. Sukumar is penning the story for this film and Karthik Varma Dandu, who directed Virupaksha will also helm this film. The makers have unveiled an intriguing poster for this film which will be a mythical thriller.
The pre-production has begun and the news is that the shoot of the film will begin by the end of this year. BVSN Prasad is the co-producer of this film. The star cast of the film is yet to be announced and the news is that a popular young hero will be playing the lead.
BVSN Prasad and Sukumar made big money with Virpukasha. The film was made under a budget of Rs 20 crores but ended up making over Rs 50 crores at the box office leaving the makers in solid profits. The manner in which Kartik Varma Dandu directed this film and extracted stunning performances from Samyuktha Menon and Sai Tej was there for us all to see.
On the other hand, Sukumar has started a new schedule for Pushpa 2. Allu Arjun and the key cast are shooting for some important scenes in Ramoji Film City today. Sukumar is taking his own sweet time to wrap up Pushpa 2 and by the looks of it, the action drama will only be out in the summer of 2024. As of now, Sukumar is also utilizing his free time in writing stories for his banner and one of them was announced today.
