All about Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari’s arrest
According to the police team, the unnamed woman, who was working as an actress in short films, died on November 29, 2023. Even though the case was initially registered under the charges of suicide, the investigation team soon found evidence that proved abetment to suicide and Pushpa actor Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari’s involvement in the same.
As per the reports, the actor befriended the deceased woman, who was working for a private firm and aspired to become an actress, while working on short films. The duo became friends when she started working on films as a junior artist and began a live-in relationship. However, they soon broke up and the woman started dating another junior artist. Jagadeesh Prathap, who allegedly captured the pictures and videos of her intimate moments with her new partner, was reportedly harassing and blackmailing her for several months.

The recent update suggests that the woman allegedly died by suicide at her residence, after which her father approached the police, alleging that Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari was blackmailing and harassing her. He claimed that his daughter resorted to the extreme step because of the harassment she faced from the Pushpa actor. Substantial evidence that proves the same was later retrieved from the late junior artist’s phone.
The Panjagutta police have booked the Telugu actor under Section 306 of the IPS for abetment to suicide and various charges of blackmailing. Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari was arrested by the police from Hyderabad on Wednesday, December 6. More details on the actor’s arrest and further proceedings are expected to be out very soon.
