Anurag Basu's upcoming romantic film, which was previously titled Aashiqui 3 is one of the most-awaited third installments of the superhit franchise, Aashiqui. The third installment will cast Kartik Aaryan in the main role. The makers were in search of a female lead after Triptii Dimri's exit. Now, a recent report learned that Sreeleela is expected to romance Kartik in the film.
Sreeleela to star opposite Kartik Aaryan
India Today reported that Pushpa 2 star Sreeleela will join Kartik Aaryan for Anurag Basu's upcoming romantic film. A source close to the production told the portal that the project was taken to her, and she has expressed her excitement to be a part of her second Bollywood film already.
The source added, "Anurag Basu’s next is already generating a lot of buzz, and the speculation around the cast only adds to the excitement. It is said that Sreeleela - the south sensation - is all set to be paired opposite Kartik Aaryan. It will be an interesting pairing to watch out for."
The report also mentioned that Sreleela is looking forward to embarking on this new romantic adventure in her career, while her team is looking for ways to make a grand announcement soon.

Aashiqui 3 shoot schedule
In a recent interview with ANI, Anurag Basu said that his team hasn't "started shooting yet. We will start the shoot next month." The filmmaker is currently busy in the pre-production of the film and this means it will begin filming in March 2025. In an interview with HT City, Anurag Basu said that Aashiqui 3 will undergo a title change, with the new title set to be announced soon.
Kartik made an official announcement of the film in September 2022. Sharing a glimpse of the third installment, the actor captioned his Instagram post, "Ab Tere Bin Ji Lenge Hum Zeher Zindagi Ka Pi Lenge Hum Aashiqui3 This one is going to be Heart-wrenching !! My First with Basu Da (sic)."
