Pushpa 2 – THIS Bollywood actress to do a special number in Allu Arjun and Sukumar’s action film?

Pushpa 2: The Rule, the highly anticipated second installment in the Pushpa franhise, has been under production for over a year now. Allu Arjun is set to return as the central character Pushpa Raj in the movie, which is helmed by hitmaker Sukumar. As reported earlier, the mass action thriller is gearing up to hit the theatres in August 2024.

It was confirmed that all main cast members of Pushpa: The Rise will reprise their respective roles in Pushpa 2. However, the audiences have been eager to know who is replacing Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who appeared in a special number in the first installment, in Part 2. Interestingly, the rumour mills have now dropped a major update on the same.

Disha Patani to do a special number in Pushpa 2?

If the recent rumours are to be believed, renowned Bollywood actress Disha Patani has been roped in to do a special number in the upcoming Allu Arjun-starrer. According to the grapevine, Disha has already signed the dotted line and is all set to shoot for the song very soon. However, we will have to wait for the official announcement from the makers of Pushpa 2: The Rule, to know if the rumours are true.

Earlier, it was reported that Sreeleela, who was recently seen in the Mahesh Babu starrer Guntur Kaaram, is approached for a special number Pushpa 2. It was also rumoured that the young actress has quoted Rs. 2 crore for her part. However, the sources close to the Allu Arjun starrer slammed the rumours, and confirmed that director Sukumar has not finalised any actress for the special appearance, so far.

Pushpa 2 – Here's what we know

The much-awaited Pushpa sequel, which is slated to hit the big screens on August 15, 2024, will get a pan-Indian release in five languages. The movie is also expected to break all the pre-existing box office records of Malayalam cinema, considering its humongous pre-release hype. The official teaser of Pushpa 2: The Rule is expected to be out in April 2024, during the special occasion of Ugadi.

Fahadh Faasil, who played Bhanwar Singh Sekhawat, and Rashmika Mandanna, who appeared as Pushpa’s lady love Srivalli, are set to reprise their respective roles in Pushpa 2: The Rule. Devi Sri Prasad composes the songs and original score. The Allu Arjun starrer will have its OTT release on Netflix after its theatrical run, in Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi languages.
