Pushpa 2 The Rule out on OTT: Allu Arjun’s blockbuster film Pushpa 2 The Rule holds the record for the highest-grossing Kannada-dubbed film in Karnataka and yet, that version is not on OTT.
Pushpa 2 is out on OTT, just not with Kannada audio

A reloaded version with at least 23 minutes additional footage – that’s what Pushpa 2 The Rule would entail when it drops on OTT. Fans were, obviously, thrilled and waiting eagerly for the film to drop on the platform, which it did on January 30. It was earlier reported that the Allu-Arjun led Sukumar sequel would drop on Netflix with only four versions – Telugu (original), Tamil, Kannada and Malayalam – given the restrictions based on the gap between a theatrical release and OTT outing for Hindi versions.
However, when the film came out, it had 4 versions, just not what was expected. Pushpa 2 The Rule is currently streaming on Netflix with Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam and Hindi audio options. The platform posted that Kannada will also be available shortly and provided no date for the same, but given that the film had a theatrical release with the Kannada version, which had done well at the box office, audiences cannot help but wonder why it has not made its way to OTT.
Netizens say that since Pushpa 2 The Rule recorded the highest box office numbers for a Kannada-dubbed film (Rs 9.2 crore), that should tell the streamer that there’s demand for the film to be served in the local language. Why would they then omit only Kannada, they ask. Incidentally, Allu Arjun had skipped Karnataka during the promotions of Pushpa 2 and the massive disparity of show allocation between the Telugu original and the Kannada-dubbed version had audiences up in arms, as even theatres that were concerned core Kannada centres were screening the Telugu one.
