After a much longer wait, Pushpa 2: The Rule has finally made it to OTT across the globe. The Allu Arjun-starring blockbuster, after a successful theatrical run, which is still continuing, is currently streaming on Netflix. Yes, even the Hindi-dubbed reloaded version is out on the OTT giant. Directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Movie Makers in partnership with Sukumar Writings, Pushpa 2: The Rule is an action drama film, also starring Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil, Jagapathi Babu, Jagadeesh Prathap Bandari, Dhananjaya, Rao Ramesh, Sunil, Anasuya Bharadwaj, and Ajay.
It follows on from Pushpa: The Rise (2021) and is the second film in the Pushpa franchise. As the film progresses, we follow coolie-turned-sandalwood-smuggler Pushpa Raj as he encounters formidable opposition from his foes, notably SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat of the Indian Police Service (IPS). Following Pushpa's ascent to power and the global expansion of his red sandalwood empire, Pushpa 2: The Rule continues the events of the first part's explosive climax. Rising tensions between competing factions and the government, coupled with his ever-increasing ambitions, force him into violent conflicts and political revolutions.
In the Hindi dubbing, Shreyas Talpade took Allu Arjun's role.
Music for the film was composed by Devi Sri Prasad, while Mirosław Kuba Brożek oversaw cinematography, and Naveen Nooli edited it. Produced with an expenditure of ₹400-500 crore, the film is among the priciest Indian features. With a running time of around 224 minutes, it is among the longest Indian films of all time.
