Pushpa 2: The Rule has been ruling the box office since its release. Starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, the film has taken over social media, as scores of fans have been celebrating the film in theatres. However, in a bizarre incident, a 35-year-old woman died in a stampede during the film's premiere in a theatre in Hyderabad, on Wednesday. December 4. The incident left the woman's son critical. Now, in a new development, Allu Arjun has been arrested over the Hyderabad stampede.

Hyderabad stampede had left a 39-year-old woman dead and her son critical. Police had filed a case against the Sandhya Theatre management, Allu Arjun, and his security team. Officers said the police had no prior information that the film's team would arrive for the premiere. Arjun was taken into custody on Friday by a team from Chikkadpally police station, where the case was registered. The actor will be produced before a magistrate later in the day.
What did Deputy Commissioner of Police of Central Zone say about the case?
At the time of filing the FIR, Deputy Commissioner of Police of Central Zone, Hyderabad Police, Akshansh Yadav had told The Indian Express that a case had been filed under BNS section 105 (punishment for culpable homicide not amounting to murder) and 118(1) r/w 3(5) (voluntarily causing hurt or grievous hurt) at Chikkadpally police station based on the complaint of the family members of the deceased person.
"It is being investigated. Stringent action as per law will be taken against all the persons responsible for the chaotic situation inside the theatre leading to the death of a person and injury to others," he further added.
According to officials, their investigation revealed that the theater management allegedly did not take extra measures to manage the crowd. There was no separate entry or exit for the group of actors, police alleged.
Around 9:30 pm, Allu Arjun came to the theatre with his personal security. Naturally, the crowd went crazy. His personal security team started harassing the public, which escalated the situation.
Meanwhile, Pushpa 2 has been getting rave reviews from audiences, ever since the premieres were aired on Wednesday night. Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil among others.
