Pushpa 2 star Allu Arjun announces his OTT debut with aha’s new show

Allu Arjun, who’s busy filming for the second part of Pushpa, has lined up another film with Arjun Reddy director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in the coming years. There are reports that he may be reuniting with Sarrianodu director Boyapati Sreenu for a film to be produced by Geetha Arts too, while he’s believed to have expressed interest to work with AR Murugadoss and Atlee.

However, the latest announcement from the star, who recently appeared in the grand finale of Telugu Indian Idol 2, has truly left us gobsmacked. He’s all set to make his web debut for the Telugu, Tamil OTT platform aha, founded by his father, producer Allu Aravind. The leading platform took to social media to share the news and called it the biggest announcement of the season.

“Biggest announcement of the season from us is here! Keep guessing the title of this special project…Stay tuned for more details #AAtakesoverAha @alluarjun,” aha’s social media handle read. Allu Arjun, donning a blue overcoat on a stylish saffron shirt, while there’s a hint that this will unfold amidst an abandoned factory in the image shared by the OTT platform.

The star’s fans are already busy speculating the theme of the show already. Some say it’s a talk show while some believe it’s a web series. There were netizens who said that the announcement has convinced them to subscribe to aha for a year. More details about the show, title and its backdrop will be launched shortly. When a star of Allu Arjun’s stature decides to say yes to a web show, we’re sure he has something big in store.

aha, whose new show Ardhamayyindha Arun Kumar releases on June 30, has had a flurry of titles launched recently, including Sathi Gani Rendu Ekaralu, Newsense, Addateegala, MenToo, Emi Sethura Linga and Poster, to name a few.
