The Allu Arjun-starrer Pushpa 2: The Rule, has taken over social media, as scores of fans have been celebrating the film in theatres. However, there have also been instances of mishaps, and in a tragic turn of events, a 35-year-old woman died in a stampede during the film's premiere in a theatre in Hyderabad, on Wednesday. December 4.

Actor Allu Arjun paired up with director Sukumar one more time for Pushpa: The Rule which has been released in theatres on Thursday, December 5. However, the makers also ran premiere shows a day earlier on Wednesday, December 4. Given the reach of Pushpa film franchise, many fans wanted to watch the film a day earlier and naturally the tickets for paid premieres soared.

However, at one theatre in Hyderabad, Sandhya Theatre, where Allu Arjun came to watch the film, the crowd gathered to catch a glimpse of their star. This caused a stampede situation, resulting in the death of a woman. The theatre premises had police and security in place to control the crowd. But the pressure increased which also resulted in the theatre's gates being broken. After police took to lathi charge, the stampede became dangerous, a woman was injured. While she was taken to the hospital, her life parted, and was declared dead. Her son has been injured and is currently undergoing treatment.

Pushpa 2 has been getting rave reviews from audiences, ever since the premieres were aired on Wednesday night. Directed by Sukumar, the film stars Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, and Fahadh Faasil among others.

The ticket prices were hiked by the Telugu-speaking states for Pushpa 2. The film has already collected Rs 100 crore with advance bookings and given the reception, Pushpa 2 is expected to emerge as the highest grosser Telugu film this year.
