Pushpa 2 on OTT: Final runtime of Allu Arjun-starrer's digital version locked

Pushpa 2 is a blockbuster hit at the box office, and fans are eagerly awaiting its OTT release. We at OTTplay have already reported that Netflix has acquired the film’s digital rights and is set to stream it from January 30, 2025.

However, there are reports that the release might be delayed due to pending issues with the Hindi version. Meanwhile, it's well known that the makers added extra footage to the theatrical release. 

Now that the OTT version is finalized, we have learned that its runtime has been locked at three hours and forty-six minutes, a significantly lengthy duration. It remains to be seen how audiences will respond to the extended version when it arrives on streaming platforms.

When the additional footage was released in theaters under the tagline Pushpa 2 Reloaded, many viewers felt the film was too long and, at times, tedious. However, a large audience who missed Pushpa 2 in theaters will likely be excited over its OTT release.

Pushpa 2 latest collections worldwide

Director Sukumar has included scenes that were not part of the theatrical cut, particularly family drama sequences between Pushparaj and Ajay’s character. Pushpa 2 has grossed over ₹1,840 crore worldwide, and reports suggest Netflix secured the streaming rights for a record-breaking price in Allu Arjun’s career.

The film’s production banner, Mythri Movie Makers, even faced IT raids due to claims about its box office collections. Additionally, Allu Arjun was caught in the Sandhya Theater controversy, preventing him from properly celebrating the film’s success. He was also restricted from travelling abroad and is still required to complete some legal formalities after being released on bail.

Meanwhile, director Sukumar is busy prepping for his next project with Ram Charan. It will be interesting to see how audiences react to Pushpa 2’s extended OTT version. Stay tuned for more updates!
