Pushpa 2 makers keep item song on the back burner as of now; here's what we know

Pushpa was a rage at the box office and all eyes are now on the sequel, Pushpa 2. The shooting of the Allu Arjun-starrer is taking place at a brisk pace in Hyderabad and news about the film's special item number has become a hot topic of discussion once again.

We at OTTplay have come to know that the song idea has been put on the back burner as of now. Music director DSP has yet to crack the tune and that is why the makers are not thinking about this special number now. As the release date of August 15, 2024, is getting near, the makers want to wrap up the talkie portion first and then think about this song.

A few weeks ago, news came out that Telugu heroine Sreeleela will be shaking a leg in Pushpa 2's special song and she has demanded Rs 2 crore for this special number. Well, we had also reported that this news is untrue and has been confirmed by one of the sources close to the unit.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu appeared in the special song, Oo Antava Mava, in part one and there was news that she would be part of the sequel as well. But the news is that she refused to be a part of the sequel and Sreeleela was considered. But both of these heroines are not doing the song as of now.

Pushpa 2 also has Fahadh Faasil, Anasuya Bhardwaj, Sunil, and Rashmika Mandanna in key roles. The action drama is now being shot in Ramoji Film City and the key Jathara sequence which has been canned for the last two weeks has been wrapped up. Watch this space for more updates on Pushpa 2.
