Pushpa 2: The Rule, the Allu Arjun starrer directed by Sukumar, has been making headlines lately with the ‘Kissik’ song launch event held in Chennai. The star-studded event was attended by the Pushpa 2 team, along with some special guests and media. Devi Sri Prasad, who composed the songs for the film, hinted at his fallout with Mythri Movie Makers, and producer Ravi Shankar. The leading man, on the other hand, expressed his admiration for the musician at the event.
The celebrated musician, who opened up about his experience working in Pushpa 2, confirmed that everything is not well between him and the production banner, Mythri Movie Makers. “We should ask and take what we want, whether it is payment from the producers, or screen credit. Isn’t it right, Bunny (Allu Arjun),” asked Devi Sri Prasad, who addressed the audiences at the event. “I don’t understand what the problem producer Ravi has with me,” stated the composer.
With his speech, Devi Sri Prasad has confirmed that he indeed had a fallout with the production banner, Mythri Movie Makers, recently. If the reports are to be believed, the makers roped in S Thaman and Ajaneesh Loknath, claiming DSP failed to deliver the Pushpa 2 songs and background score, on time. If the recent updates are to be believed, the popular musician is also being replaced in the banner’s upcoming Tamil project Good Bad Ugly, which features Ajith Kumar in the lead role.
The leading man, who is totally impressed with Devi Sri Prasad’s tunes in Pushpa 2, heaped praises on the music composer during his speech at the event. “I’ve done over 20 films, and DSP has composed for 10 of them. My Rockstar, my childhood friend. The biggest music director in the country. I love you. Thank you for sharing an extra atom of love for me! This movie is not possible without you, my journey is not possible without you,” said Allu Arjun, in his speech.
