Pushpa 2 has slowed down at the box office but continues to earn decent money daily. The film has completed 33 days in theaters and has amassed Rs 1209 crore in India, setting a new record. Globally, the Allu Arjun-starrer has grossed over Rs 1800 crore, with its next target being the record held by Dangal. The Aamir Khan film earned just over Rs 2000 crore during its lifetime.

The makers of Pushpa 2 are eyeing this milestone and hope it will become the highest-grossing Indian film to date. In Hindi, Pushpa 2 has grossed Rs 800 crore, setting a new domestic record for any Hindi film in Bollywood. The film’s box office performance has been closely monitored, and the trade was eager to see how much the Sukumar directorial would collect on a crucial Monday.
Collections dropped by over 60% globally, but the film still earned a solid Rs 2.6 crore in India on Monday. On Friday, it made Rs 3.75 crore, which increased to Rs 5.5 crore on Saturday. With Sunday being a holiday, the film collected over Rs 7.2 crore.

In the Telugu states, Pushpa 2 is approaching the Rs 340-crore mark. Almost 90% of areas have broken even, and in Telangana, the film has made massive profits, crossing Rs 100 crore in shares—an impressive feat.
In the coming days, three major Telugu films—Game Changer, Daaku Maharaaj, and Sankranthiki Vasthunnam are set for release. This will likely impact Pushpa 2’s collections. However, in the Hindi market, where there are fewer big releases, the Rashmika Mandanna film continues to perform well.
Overseas, Pushpa 2 has stalled at the $15 million mark and needs to gross $16 million to turn a profit. Achieving significant profits in the US market appears challenging.
With a global gross of over Rs 1830 crore, Pushpa 2 aims to surpass Dangal’s record. It remains to be seen if this will happen in the coming days.
Pushpa 2’s OTT rights have been sold to Netflix, and reports suggest the film will be available for streaming from January 30, 2025. However, an official confirmation is still pending.
