Pushpa 2 box office collection day 2: Allu Arjun’s wildfire collects Rs 400 crore gross worldwide and crosses Rs 250 crore milestone in India

Pushpa 2 box office collection day 2: The buzz around Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule is unparalleled, and there is no way any movie is even coming close to the feat that the film has achieved in just two days of release. For a movie that has the privilege of an extra day in the first weekend, the Rashmika Mandanna starrer has taken full profit from it. The shocking box office collection it managed to bring in even on a non-holiday mid-week release is landmark and historic across the country and not just the South. The film has already crossed the Rs 150 crore mark in India and stood much beyond it with the day one collection, and it was given that it would indeed cross the Rs 200 crore mark on day two. But who knew destiny had an even bigger collection in store for the movie.

Pushpa 2 Box Office Update

First, talking about the worldwide haul, Pushpa 2: The Rule has turned out to be a raging wildfire that is leaving no opportunity to earn big money across the world. The movie is right now at Rs 400 crore gross worldwide. This means by the time the movie wraps up Saturday, it will be Rs 500 crores strong across the globe. This means there is no looking back for the Sukumar directorial that is on its way to rewrite history at the box office. Meanwhile, it is also busy reshaping the Indian scene. 

As per Sacnilk, the movie has now earned Rs 265 crore net in India as it managed to bring in Rs 90.10 crore net in India on Day 2. The film had already earned Rs 174.9 crore in India on the day of release, and crossing the Rs 250 crore mark on day two is a massive achievement on the second day itself. This means if the movie continues, it will break many records in a go.

Talking about occupancy, the movie in Telugu had an occupancy of 53%; in Hindi, it was 51.65%. The occupancy in Kannada was 35.97%, and Tamil saw 38.52% occupancy, followed by 27.30% in Malayalam. In Hindi (ICE), occupancy in theaters on day 2 was 49.50% and 100% in 3D.

Already Dethroned Jawan On Day 1

Pushpa 2 has now dethroned Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan from the top position of highest box office openers in Hindi with its Rs 66 crores collection. Jawan held the record with Rs 64 crore. The movie released last year in September and was directed by Atlee. The Allu Arjun starrer, however, has also surpassed KGF: Chapter 2's Rs 52 crore Hindi opening, which was the record holder before the Rashmika Mandanna starrer.

Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar, stars Allu Arjun, Fahadh Faasil, Rashmika Mandanna, and an ensemble cast that is recurring from the first film. The storyline takes place sometime after the events of the first film, and we meet a now happily married Pushpa, who still continues to have Shekhawat as a threat lingering around him. The story moves on to then address the fact that Pushpa still doesn't have a family name behind him, and it goes on to establish that. Anything more than this will be a spoiler.
