Puli Meka: ZEE5’s thriller starring Aadi Saikumar, Lavanya Tripathi to premiere soon, RRR star to unveil teaser

After kickstarting 2023 with Dil Raju’s production ATM, the crime caper created by Harish Shankar and directed by C Chandramohan, ZEE5 is gearing up for the launch of another highly anticipated web show. Marking the digital debut of writer Kona Venkat, actors Aadi Saikumar, Lavanya Tripathi, their next show is a cop thriller titled Puli Meka. The series is set to premier on the streamer shortly.

Puli Meka has ZEE5 joining hands with Kona Venkat’s banner Kona Film Corporation while it’ll be helmed by his long-time associate K Chakravarthy Reddy. Actors Raja Chembolu and Siri Hanumath too essay other key roles in the show, which was formally announced by ZEE5 earlier this week with a video featuring its core team - the lead lineup and its writer.

Another shot in the arm for the team - RRR star Ram Charan will unveil the teaser of the show on February 17. The web series is based on a cat-and-mouse chase between a serial killer and a bunch of cops. The killer is a little too close for comfort, when he starts targeting the police department and is on a cop-killing spree. Reportedly, astrology too is a key link that drives the story forward.

Aadi Saikumar and Lavanya essay cop roles in the show. The latter is cast as a female cop leading an SIT where a forensic expert must track down the serial in Hyderabad. The going isn’t quite smooth for the duo, especially when the media contributes to the pressure and they need to come to terms with a spine-chilling truth during the investigation.

Suman, Goparaju Ramana, Spandana Palli and Srinivas form the supporting cast of Puli Meka, for which Ram K Mahesh cranks the camera. Brahma Kadali takes care of the production design and Chota K Prasad is the editor. Kona Venkat and Venkatesh Kilaru have written the story. Neeraja Kona is the costume designer. The show releases on February 24.
