PT Sir starring Hiphop Tamizha to release in May, gets this censor certificate

We had earlier reported that composer-turned-actor Hiphop Tamizha will be headlining a Tamil film titled PT Sir. The makers recently announced that the censorship procedure of the film has been completed and the film will hit big screens in May. However, a release date for the film is yet to be announced.

PT Sir to release in May

Hiphop Tamizha, also known as Aadhi, will be playing the lead role in PT Sir. The film has completed censorship formalities and has received a clean U certificate from the censor board. The film will be arriving in theatres in May, although a release date is yet to be announced. The date is expected to be attached along with the trailer of the film which will be released on Thursday.

Helmed by filmmaker Karthik Venugopalan of Nenjamundu Nermaiyundu Odu Raja fame, the upcoming film is bankrolled by Ishari K Ganesh under the production banner Vels Film International. In the film, Hiphop Tamizha will be playing the role of a physical education teacher, who wants to introduce new activities to schoolchildren and the challenges he faces during the mission. Expected to be a light-hearted comedy entertainer, the film will feature actor Kashmira Pardeshi as the female lead.

The technical crew consists of Madhesh Manickam and GK Prasanna handling the camera work and editing, respectively. Besides starring, Hiphop Tamizha has also scored the music for the film. The makers recently released the video song Kutty Pisasae from the film, sung and written by Hiphop Tamizha. The shooting for the film was wrapped up earlier this year in February.

Meanwhile, Hiphop Tamizha was last seen in the 2023 superhero action film Veeran directed by ARK Saravan. The film is currently streaming on Prime Video. The composer also scored the music for the recently released Tamil film Aranmanai 4, written and directed by filmmaker Sundar C.
