Rakshit Shetty is one of the few stars who often makes it a point to speak about achievements by others in the Kannada film industry and give praise where deserved. Yesterday, Rakshit was among the many thousands who caught Rocking Star Yash’s latest release, KGF: Chapter 2 in theatres on day one itself and the actor-filmmaker lost no time and took to social media to voice his appreciation of the visual spectacle he’d just seen. In fact, Rakshit wished the team well even before he saw the film, writing, “A cinema that so many of us are so absolutely proud of! #KGFChapter2 is an undeniable winner already. Sending my heartiest wishes to the team for its grand release 🤗.”Then, just before the start of the film, he tweeted, “Celebration of cinema on silver screen #WatchingNow.”
The actor-filmmaker couldn’t contain his excitement during the interval block and tweeted, “Prashanth Neel explored his style in previous two films but establishes it like a king in KGF2. What a filmmaker…. Yash is stupendous. Proud of this man and his extraordinary journey… #KGF2 #FirstHalf done.” Later, as he finished watching the film, Rakshit added, “Beautiful… packed with goosebump moments from start to end… #KGF2.”
But that’s not all, Rakshit also retweeted director Prashant’s appeal to audiences to stop piracy and ensure that no one takes videos of KGF: Chapter 2, as well as a couple of reviews of the film, which proclaimed the film to be a king-size entertainer. Rakshit’s tweets got him praise from fans and industry observers, who also wondered when the next update about his upcoming 777 Charlie would be, considering that it is slated to release in theatres on June 10.
It has to be noted, though, that some of the films that Rakshit has been talking about in recent days, be it Kantara, Raghavendra Stores or KGF, have all been backed by Hombale Films, the banner that is also producing his next directorial, Richard Anthony.
