Prosenjit Chatterjee and Anirban Bhattacharya to recreate Tamil film Garudan in Bangla

Last Puja, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Anirban Bhattacharya teamed up for Srijit Mukherji’s Dawshom Awbotaar. They play two cops in the film and their bromance has been lauded by viewers and critics alike. This Puja, they are back again. They will be seen in Rahool Mukherjee’s new film under the SVF production banner. 

The film's muharat took place on Wednesday morning. The film is produced by SVF. The crew and cast were present there. It is heard that the film is based on the Tamil film Garudan. in the lead. According to sources, the production house acquired the rights of the film a while ago. The name is not yet finalized (working title: production Number 171). Along with Prosenjit and Anirban, Priyanka Sarkar, Aparajita Adhya, Rajatabha Dutta, Surajit Banerjee, and Parijat Choudhury play important roles in the film. The Kannada film streams on Zee5 and one can also watch it on OTTplay Premium. 

Rahool previously directed two films, Kishmish and Dilkhush. Both were films on relationships. Now he will concentrate on thrillers. How will he handle two strong actors like Prosenjit and Anirban? The director told the media, “I am elated to get such a big chance at the beginning of my career. I am not scared, but excited.”

Both Prosenjit and Anirban are busy actors. But Rahool said that both of them cooperated with Prosenjit since the start of the pre-production. Rahool said, “I guess they will manage me on the shooting floor. Bumbada believes in discipline. On the other hand, Anirban himself is a director. All of us are waiting to make a good film.” He is hopeful about the other actors also. “I am directing a thriller for the first time. I understand that altogether it will be a new experience,” he said.

The shooting will start in July. Sources say that the production house may release the film during Puja.
