The renowned producer Nivedita Basu has to her credit, of having produced many of India’s TV shows, which eventually went onto become names to reckon with. These shows include the likes of ‘Hum Paanch’, ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii’, Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi’, ‘Kasautii Zindagii Kay’, ‘Kahiin to Hoga’… the list goes on and on. Nivedita Basu, who always believes that ‘If you are happy, success follows’, is always asked about the ‘secret’ of her ever-happy nature.

Speaking exclusively to OTT Play, “Happiness for me is anything that brings a smile to me and my family, my kids and my work. I think that holds the utmost importance in everyone’s life. I know people who are very successful but very unhappy. I believe happiness comes way above success and if you’re happy success follows”.

She added, “In today’s day and time we have such stressful lives that people are leading and it’s leading to health disorders. Being happy is way more ahead than being successful. Never prioritize your health with work, unhappiness. If you’re happy and healthy everything else will follow. It’s just that you shouldn’t give it up.”

When asked about the top 5 things that she cherishes in her life, and she says, “My kids, my family, my good health, my wellness and my mental being are above everything. The day my job doesn’t give me happiness when I wake up and go everyday will be the day I will retire.”

Nivedita Basu also added, “My greatest strength is my positive attitude and my family support in everything I do. I’ve seen people not getting supper from their close ones which is so hurtful. God has been kind to me that both my in-laws and maternal sides of families have supported me. Whatever you do in life, do something that brings joy and let your family support you.”
