Priyanka Chopra is currently in India for her work commitments. After attending several events, the actress is enjoying her stay in India by spending quality time with her family and friends. However, the actress is also meeting filmmakers and going over scripts for her next Bollywood project. It has now been reported that the global star has also met filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali to finalize a project.
If reports by Midday are to be believed, Priyanka is all set for her collaboration with Bhansali for a period action drama. While PeeCee seems to be on board with the script, it is also said that the duo has also discussed the production timelines.
Earlier, a Hindustan Times quoted a source as saying, "She is going through several scripts, and meeting several makers to decide on the same. In fact, she is also meeting Sanjay Leela Bhansali for an action project, set in a different period. She has liked the project, and is meeting Bhansali now to decide on the timeline, schedule, and costumes."
It is to be noted that the actor-filmmaker duo have earlier collaborated on two projects. Priyanka performed a dance number 'Ram Chahe Leela' in Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh-starrer Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela (2013) and she bagged the role of Kashibai in Bajirao Mastani (2015). The film also starred Deepika and Ranveer Singh in the lead roles.
Priyanka's characters, portrayed by Bhansali, were loved by the audiences and hence it would be interesting to watch them come together again.
Meanwhile, since the time Priyanka is in India, she is busy with her work as well as family. After attending the grand store opening of Bulgari in Mumbai, she visited the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya with her husband-singer Nick Jonas and daughter Maltie Marie. She also attended an Amazon Prime Video event, where she announced Women of My Billion, which is an upcoming documentary that tells the stories of violence faced by women.
The actress will also be seen alongside John Cena and Idris Elba in Heads of State and will lend her voice for Disneynature's upcoming film Tiger.
