Saripodhaa Sanivaaram is all set to hit the screens on August 29, 2024. Nani plays the main lead in this film which has Priyanka Arul Mohan as the female lead. This is her second film with Nani and has pinned all her hopes for a comeback.
Priyanka Arul Mohan opens up about working with Nani
When asked about the same, Priyanka says that during the time of Gang Leader, Nani was just a co-star but now, he has become a close friend. "Nani and I have become close friends during the making of Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Nani is mad about films zones out during the breaks and only thinks about his character. He has done a solid job in this film and will impress the masses in a big way," says Priyanka.
When asked why things did not work with Gang Leader, Priyanka says that the film had a story, a solid cast, and amazing narration. But the audience was expecting something else from Nani and that is the reason it did not work at the box office. "I was hugely disappointed that my first film in Telugu ended as a huge flop and when I got a chance to work with Nani again, I jumped in joy and bagged the film," says Priyanka.
The young heroine plays a cop in the film and says that her character has great scope to perform and is not just there for the sake of things. "My role in the film is quite crucial to the story and I had a blast working with the director Vivek Athreya. "How he showcased me in a new manner as a constable is something I enjoyed playing a lot," adds Priyanka.
When asked about doing more films in Telugu, Priyanka says that she has pinned a lot of hopes on Saripodhaa Sanivaaram and OG with Pawan Kalyan. "Both OG and Saripodhaa are two biggies that I am banking heavily on for my career in Telugu cinema. The success of these two films will cement my place in Tollywood," says Priyanka.
Lastly, when asked to reveal the differences between Nani and Pawan Kalyan, Priyanka said, "Both Nani and Pawan sir are dreamers. One is a dreamer about cinema and can go to any extent to be in films and the other is mad about people and their well-being".
Sariopodhaa Sanivaaram has been produced by DVV Danayya, the makers of RRR, and Priyanka ends the conversation by saying that he has gone all out for the promotions and has given Nani and the director a free hand on the film.
