Prithviraj Sukumaran’s Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil to hit theatres soon; poster hints at a fun-filled family wedding entertainer

The first poster of Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil was released by the film's makers on January 16, putting an end to film enthusiasts' wait. The poster features the movie's cast at a wedding at the Guruvayoor Temple. The cast and producers shared the poster on social media, suggesting a family entertainer. Anaswara Rajan and Basil Joseph can be seen in bridal attires on this poster.

The poster says the film will hit theatres during the Malayalam month of Meenam, which means it will be a March-April release.

Prithviraj Sukumaran, Basil Joseph, Nikhila Vimal, and Anaswara Rajan are playing lead roles in this movie. The film also includes Jagadish, Rekha, Siju Sunny, Baiju, Irshad, and Tamil actor Yogi Babu in supporting roles. Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil is directed by Vipin Das of Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey-fame.

Fans shared their excitement over the project and the stellar cast of the film. Many expressed their anticipation over the director’s ability to produce a fun-filled entertainer, considering his previous work, Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey. Some also applauded the makers for bringing in such a stellar cast.

“One of the most creative movie posters released in a long time,” wrote a fan in Basil Joseph’s Facebook post.

Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil to release soon

On January 10, the film's fourth shooting schedule came to an end. This was confirmed by the director, who wrote on social media that he was "wrapping up most memorable 22 days of our life".

In an interview with OTTplay, actor Jagadish mentioned his role in this movie. "I play Prithviraj's father in this movie. This character is even different from my recent works. This role has enough humorous elements, and I had a great time playing it," he said.

In May last year, the film's pooja ceremony was held in Guruvayoor.

Prithviraj, who is also producing the film, announced the project on social media last year. “This is a story that makes me smile every time I think of it since I heard it well over a year ago!" he posted online. According to reports, Prithviraj Sukumaran is playing an antagonist in this film.

Kunjiramayanam and Perilloor Premier League fame Deepu Pradeep has penned the screenplay for Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil. E4 Entertainment and Prithviraj Productions have bankrolled this movie.
