Prithviraj Sukumaran’s emotional speech about mother Mallika Sukumaran wins the internet; Watch VIDEO

Prithviraj Sukumaran and Indrajith Sukumaran, the popular actors and real-life brothers, attended a special event at Thiruvananthapuram, recently. The duo, along with their family members, friends, and acquaintances, celebrated 50 years of their mother, veteran actress Mallika Sukumaran, in cinema. The pictures and videos of the grand event are now going viral on social media.

However, the netizens are especially showering love on the video of Prithviraj Sukumaran’s emotional speech. The Aadujeevitham actor, who is the younger son of Mallika and late senior actor Sukumaran, became emotional at the event as he recalled his mother’s journey in both cinema and life. He stated that his mother is the strongest woman he has ever met in his life.

The actor-director began his speech on a fun note, stating that both he and his elder brother Indrajith Sukumaran were supposed to be in the USA at this time. The actor funnily stated that their Visa, however, has been delayed and added that he suspects his mother is involved in the same. The proud son, who opened up about Mallika Sukumaran’s illustrious career that exceeded five decades, added that it is highly remarkable how she succeeded in making a comeback and successfully started the second innings.

Prithviraj also added that his mother is the most talented artist in their family. The L2 Empuraan director admitted that he is proud to be one of the very few sons in the film industry, who were fortunate enough to act with their mothers, along with directing them and producing their films. He strongly believes that his mother has so much more to contribute to cinema.

Later, Prithviraj recalled the day his father, veteran actor Sukumaran passed away. The visibly emotional actor revealed that both he and his brother Indrajith (who were in school at that time) went to Trivandrum from Ernakulam, in an ambulance. But their mother Mallika came alone, in the car. Prithviraj revealed that he was worried for his mother at that time and was constantly thinking about what she was going to do all alone. The actor-director, who stated that his mother is the strongest woman he has ever met, concluded that Indrajith Sukumaran and him in the present, are the answer to that question.
