The shoot of Blessy’s Aadujeevitham, which has been on for over four years now, is finally nearing conclusion. The team will wrap up the principal photography of the big-budget, Prithviraj Sukumaran-starrer in the next few days in Ranni, Pathanamthitta.
The final schedule of the movie began today in the district with Prithviraj set to join the team. The cast and crew of Aadujeevitham had returned last week after concluding its foreign schedules that included shooting in Jordan and Algeria.
Aadujeevitham’s shoot, which had lasted almost 160 days, was carried out over a period of four years beginning from 2018. The pandemic had caused an extensive delay with the team first being stranded in Jordan when the worldwide lockdown was announced in 2020 and then having to wait for two years to resume shooting in Jordan and Algeria.
The current portions include shooting a sequence in a prison as well as some patchwork portions, according to a report in Can Channels. Sets have been erected for the same. Prithviraj, Blessy and team had in April left for Algeria, where they had shot for a month before moving to Jordan to complete the portions that they couldn’t back in 2020.
The movie, which also has Amala Paul and several foreign artistes as part of the cast, is based on Benyamin’s novel Aadujeevitham that revolves around a Malayali man who goes to Saudi Arabia for job but is forced to work as a goat herder in the desert. AR Rahman will be composing the music for the movie, which will be released in multiple languages.
Meanwhile, Prithviraj’s next theatrical release will be Kaduva, which is set to hit theatres on June 30. The movie, which is directed by Shaji Kailas and scripted by Jinu V Abraham, also has Vivek Oberoi, Samyuktha Menon, Arjun Ashokan and Baiju Santosh as part of the cast.
