On the show The Bombay Journey, Prithviraj Sukumaran revealed that he was shooting for Bade Miyan Chote Miyan in Film City and Sarzameen in Yash Raj Studios, simultaneously. When asked about the film, the popular actor stated, "So, it's a Dharma film that they have yet to officially announce. It's very strange; it's the world's worst-kept secret, I think. I'm sure the comments will tell you everything about the film."
Kayoze Irani is making his directorial debut with the film. Regarding the plot, reports suggest that an Army general is determined to liberate the Kashmir Valley from terrorists at all costs.
