At the recent press conference for his much-anticipated film L2: Empuraan, Prithviraj Sukumaran lavished admiration on Salman Khan and his upcoming action spectacular Sikandar. The actor-filmmaker expressed his enthusiasm for the project and best wishes to the team, talking about the film's vast scope and the Bollywood icon's stardom.
In his encounter with the media, Prithviraj couldn't contain his enthusiasm for his next film, Sikandar, which would be released shortly after L2: Empuraan. He emphasised the film's immense appeal, characterising it as a "huge, huge project," starring Salman Khan.

"Sikandar is a huge, huge project. It's Salman Sir, one of the biggest superstars that the country has ever seen. And as usual, he is coming on Eid with this banger of a commercial flick with A. R. Murugadoss, sir," Prithviraj said.
His comments reflect his deep respect for Salman and the action-thriller filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss.
Sikandar should be a huge hit at the box office, Prithviraj continued. He even suggested that the crowd view the two films consecutively.
"'I wish the team the absolute best. I hope the film goes on to become a blockbuster. I will have no complaints if you watch Sikandar at 11 AM and Empuraan at 1 PM,'" he quipped, indicating his confidence in the appeal of his own film while being equally enthusiastic about Salman's venture.
L2: Empuraan is scheduled to premiere on March 27, 2025, and Sikandar is scheduled to follow shortly on March 30, 2025, both happening during the Eid weekend, setting the stage for a huge clash at the box office. Even though the premiere dates are so near, Prithviraj seems to see it as a film festival rather than a competition based on his remarks.
L2: Empuraan, created and directed by Prithviraj himself, is Mohanlal's sequel to the 2019 smash blockbuster Lucifer, while Salman Khan's Sikandar is his big Eid release. In Sikandar, directed by A. R. Murugadoss, we see Rashmika Mandanna in the major role, with supporting appearances from Kajal Aggarwal, Sathyaraj, Sharman Joshi, and Prateik Babbar.
People are likely to go in droves to see both flicks. Salman Khan's massive fan base and Murugadoss' directing chops bode well for Sikandar, an exciting, high-octane drama. Fans of Malayalam film are expecting a lot from L2: Empuraan, the sequel to the cult smash Lucifer.
