Streaming platform Amazon Prime Video on Tuesday announced a brand new slate for its star-studded lineup of series and films. From Ananya Panday’s Call Me Bae and Varun Dhawan’s Citadel: Honey Bunny to Mona Singh’s Ma Kasum – Prime Video’s new lineup spread over the specified timeline and seems like a promising ride with oodles of entertainment on the way. Notably, the announcement comes weeks after its rival streaming platform, Netflix, shared its upcoming series and films. Dil Dosti Dilemma

The upcoming series explores the beautiful self-discovery journey of a young girl Asmara, who is sent to her grandparents’ neighbourhood as a part of punishment. She keeps up the appearances by lying to her friends that she is in Canada. However, the journey soon finds a purpose when Asmara experiences life lessons and growth in her traditional roots.

Starring a star-studded ensemble with Anushka Sen, Tanvi Azmi, Shishir Sharma, Suhasini Mulay, Khush Jotwani, Vishakha Pandey, Revathi Pillai, and Elisha Mayor in lead roles, the show is helmed by Debbie Rao.

Ma Kasum

Created by Samir Kohli, Vinay Josh, and Prasad Kadam – Ma Kasum is a gripping tale of a 19-year-old math genius’ quest to seek a perfect match for his single mother by creating an algorithm to analyze human relationships. The key ensemble stars Mona Singh, Angira Dhar, Mihir Ahuja, and Ranveer Brar in pivotal roles.

Waack Girls

The story revolves around a girl group in Kolkata who leads the quest to familiarize the townspeople with a dance style called waacking. They form a group called “Waack Girls” to turn their dreams into reality.

The lighthearted comedy-drama web series is created by Sooni Taraporevala and features Mekhola Bose, Rytasha Rathore, Barun Chanda, Anasua Chowdhury, Priyam Saha, Chrisann Pereira, Ruby Sah, and Achintya Bose.

Ziddi Girls

Starring the formidable likes of Simran, Revathy, Nandita Das, Nandish Sandhu, Anupriya Caroli, Atiya Tara Nayak, Ayushi Rawat, Zaina Ali, and Umang Bhadana, the coming-of-age series is jointly directed by Shonali Bose, Neha Veena Sharma, and Vasant Nath. Ziddi Girls follows the coming-of-age tale of a group of college freshmen who navigate friendship, heartbreaks, and personal growth.

Rangeen

Starring Vineet Kumar and Rajshri Deshpande in lead – Rangeen is an upcoming series written by Amardeep Galsin and Amir Rizvi. The story follows a middle-aged husband who finds himself confronting his personal crisis on an unusual path. Kopal Naithani and Pranjal Dua’s directorial also features Kabir Khan as the creative producer.
