Premalu Box Office Day 9 – Naslen-Mamitha Baiju’s romantic comedy crosses Rs 30-crore mark

Premalu, the romantic comedy which hit the big screens on February 9, 2024, has emerged as the surprise hit of the year. The movie, which is helmed by talented filmmaker Girish AD, stars young actors Naslen and Mamitha Baiju in the lead roles. Interestingly, Premalu hit the big screens without a massive pre-release hype. However, things changed after the release, as the movie has been receiving excellent reviews from both the audiences and critics.

When it completed the first 9 days of its release, the romantic comedy had now entered the prestigious Rs 30-crore club of Malayalam cinema. Now, it has been confirmed that the Naslen-Mamitha Baiju starrer is indeed set to emerge as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024, from the industry.

Premalu crosses Rs 30-crore mark at the box office

As per the latest reports, the Girish AD directorial performed extremely well at the box office on the 9th day of its release, which was also its second Saturday at the theatres. The movie, which crossed the Rs 25-crore mark within the first 8 days of its release, made around Rs 5 crore from the worldwide box office on its 9th day. Thus, Premalu has made a total worldwide collection of over Rs 30-crore mark, just within the first 9 days of its release.

This is indeed a big achievement for the romantic comedy, which has been headlined by young actors who are relatively new to the film industry. Thanks to the word-of-mouth publicity, Premalu is expected to perform even better in the upcoming week, especially at the overseas box office. Yash Raj Films, the legendary Bollywood banner has now taken up the UK and Europe distribution of Premalu, and this move is expected to make things even better for the film.

Along with Naslen and Mamitha, the movie also stars Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Althaf Salim, Mathew Thomas, and others in the key roles. Premalu is jointly bankrolled by Fahadh Faasil, Dileesh Pothan, and Syam Pushkaran, under the banners Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Bhavana Studios.
