Premalu, the romantic comedy helmed by Girish AD has already emerged as one of the biggest blockbusters of 2024. Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film is now set to cross Rs. 55 crore mark.

Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, the popular young actors teamed up with hitmaker Girish AD, for their latest outing Premalu. The romantic comedy, which has highly impressed both the audiences and critics, has already earned the blockbuster status at the box office. The movie, which is bankrolled by popular actor Fahadh Faasil and director Dileesh Pothan, is holding strong even after the releases of many popular films, including Bramayugam and Manjummel Boys.
When Premalu completed the first two weeks (14 days) of its release, the movie has now crossed the Rs. 54 crore mark at the worldwide box office. It has been confirmed that an excellent third week is on cards for Naslen and Mamitha Baiju’s film, which was released without a massive pre-release hype.
As per the recent updates from the trade analysts, Premalu has made a total box office collection of Rs. 54 crore worldwide. Interestingly, the movie made Rs. 1.71 crore on its Day 13, and Rs. 1.40 crore on its Day 14. Notably, the Naslen-Mamitha Baiju starrer has been performing extremely well even on the weekdays, even after clashing with both Mammootty’s Bramayugam and the newly released Manjummel Boys.

The Girish AD directorial is also performing extraordinarily at the Kerala box office when it completed the first two weeks of its release. Premalu has made a total collection of Rs. 29.07 crore within the first 14 days. In that case, the romantic comedy will touch the Rs. 30 crore mark in the state, on its Day 15. Considering the current trend, Naslen and Mamitha’s film has all the possibilities to cross the Rs. 60 crore mark at the worldwide box office, within the upcoming weekend.
Along with Naslen and Mamitha Baiju, Premalu features a stellar star cast including Sangeeth Prathap, Shyam Mohan, Akhila Bhargavan, Meenakshi Raveendran, Althaf Salim, Mathew Thomas, and others appear in the supporting roles. Premalu is jointly bankrolled by the banners Fahadh Faasil and Friends and Bhavana Studios. The recent blockbuster is set to have its OTT release in March 2024, after completing its theatrical run.
