In a recent interaction, upcoming actress Saanve Megghana opened up about a peculiar incident with her co-star Sangeeth Shobhan on the sets of Prema Vimanam, where she had to slap him. “There is a scene where I have to slap the boy. That is so sad. I still remember that, by mistake, I had to slapped Sangeeth. I slapped him, and I said sorry the whole day.”
Apparently, Sangeeth was alright about it too. He had reportedly said, “It’s okay it’s particularly about the scene.” This had to do with an emotional scene in the film where the situation just goes out of hand for both the characters, who land in a mess and are clueless about their next move. “I get vulnerable; he cracks jokes but that is one scene that I felt was very funny for us off-screen.”
Saanve and Sangeeth had unusually taken six takes for the whole scene. “I had to slap him all the time. I used to slap him sometimes to see his face as a part of fun. I felt sorry for that.” In the film, Saanve and Sangeeth are cast as Abitha and Mani, a lovestruck couple in a village in Telangana in the early 2000s. Fearing parental opposition, they plan to elope and all hell breaks loose.
The other actors in the film include Vennela Kishore, Abhai Naveen, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Goparaju Ramana. Prema Vimanam revolves around two kids and their ambition to board an aeroplane and how their destinies are entangled with a couple they meet in Hyderabad (played by Saanve and Sangeeth). The feel-good drama has a likeable premise with impressive performances.
