After backing several high profile shows throughout the year including Puli Meka, ATM, Vyavastha, Maya Bazaar for Sale, to name a few, leading streamer ZEE5 is coming up with another OTT release. Their next major release in Telugu is a cute-little web film titled Prema Vimanam. Devansh Nama, Anirudh Nama, Sangeet Shobhan, Saanvee Megghana, Anasuya Bharadwaj play key roles in the film.
The web film is releasing on ZEE5, just ahead of the festival season on October 13. Written and directed by Santosh Kata, Prema Vimanam is bankrolled by leading Telugu producer Abhishek Nama under Abhishek Pictures. Ahead of its digital premiere next week, the trailer of the film was out yesterday. The film is about the plight of a much-in love couple and two children who’re desperate to board a flight.
Mani, a rural lad, is head over heels in love with Abhitha but they face opposition from their families for their union. How far will they go to tie the knot? Meanwhile, two slum kids, who lead ordinary lives, are crazy about anything related to flights, dream about boarding one and are very curious about its inner working. The kids flee their home to fulfil their dream and need to battle several odds to survive.
Vennela Kishore, Ravi Varma, Goparaju Ramana, Kalpalatha, Surabhi Prabhavathi, Abhay Bethiganti play other important roles in Prema Vimanam. Two other Telugu films recently too focused on a protagonist’s love for flying - Ustaad and Vimanam. The latter, also revolving around a poor kid’s love for aeroplanes, has a plot that slightly resembles Prema Vimanam. Anasuya is part of both films.
Sangeeth Shobhan, who also acted in ZEE5’s web show Oka Chinna Family Story, plays one of the lead roles in this week’s release Mad. He debuted as a child artiste with Golconda High School. Saanvee Megghana’s other major release too has a ‘vimanam’ in it - Pushpaka Vimanam - where she was seen alongside Anand Deverakonda.
