Pranaya Vilasam release date: When, where to watch Anaswara Rajan, Mamitha Baiju and Arjun Ashokan’s love story

Malayalam actor Arjun Ashokan is on a roll these days. After being part of superhits such as Jan.E.Man, Kaduva and most recently, Romancham, the actor’s next movie Pranaya Vilasam, which is a cute love story, is gearing up to hit theatres.

Apart from Arjun, the movie also has Super Sharanya actors Anaswara Rajan and Mamitha Baiju. Hakkim Shah, Miya and Manoj KU round out the cast of the film, helmed by debutant director Nikhil Muraly.

What is Pranaya Vilasam’s story?

The film, as its title alludes, is a romcom. The movie’s director Nikhil, in a recent interview with OTTplay, said that the film deals with all types of romance – between people as well as the kind of love that happens in various terrains. “It’s all about love,” said Nikhil, about the movie that is scripted by newcomers Jyotish M and Sunu W.

While the protagonists in the movie are all youngsters, Nikhil explained that it’s a film that is targeted at the family audience. “Be it Anaswara, Mamitha or Arjun, they are the young actors who are popular now. We want this story, told through youngters’ point of view, to reach today’s families and that’s the reason for casting them as leads,” said the filmmaker.

Pranaya Vilasam’s songs, composed by Shaan Rahman, have already begun to trend music charts and considering that the trio’s previous release, Super Sharanya, was a huge hit among the young audience, the makers can expect the initial buzz to be high too.

Apart from the actors, most of the crew of the film are also youngsters. “It’s the first film for most of us including the cinematographer and editor,” said Nikhil.

When and where to watch Pranaya Vilasam?

Pranaya Vilasam is set to hit theatres in Kerala on February 24. The movie’s OTT and satellite rights have already been sold and was bought by ZEE5 and ZEE Malayalam, respectively. Meanwhile, Anaswara is also part of Brinda Gopal’s Thugs, which also releases the same day.
