During a press conference promoting his latest flick, Cheena Trophy, Dhyan Sreenivasan said that he and Pranav Mohanlal approach acting in movies in a similar way. The duo is playing lead roles in Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Varshangalkku Shesham, which is expected to release on Vishu next year.

“We both avoid becoming overly attached to the characters. For us, everything is transient; as soon as we hear "cut," we return to our normal selves," he said.

Dhyan went into further detail about his brother's dedication to filmmaking. "Vineeth is very specific about the kind of work he expects from each artist. To give the artist a clear idea of what is expected of them, he has conversations prior to shots and detailed narration, he said.

The actor, who is busy with a couple of projects lined up in the coming year, also expressed his desire to take a short break from acting in films and concentrate on filmmaking during the press conference. He also mentioned the progress of discussions on making Adi Kapyare Kootamani 2.

The film, which is Vineeth’s sixth directorial, will feature Pranav and Kalyani Priyadarshan, a popular young on-screen pair in Malayali cinema, in lead roles. The pair acted together in Vineeth’s Hridayam last year. The film, which was a box office hit, won the Kerala State Film Awards for Best Film with Popular Appeal, Aesthetic Value, and Best Music Director categories.

Neeraj Madhav, Neeta Pillai, Basil Joseph, and Nivin Pauly are among the stellar cast members of Varshangalkku Shesham. Visakh Subramaniam is producing the film under the banner of Merryland Cinemas.

After Oru Jathi Jathakam, Vineeth took a break from acting in order to concentrate on directing this movie. Malarvaadi Arts Club, which featured Aju Varghese and Nivin Pauly, marked his directorial debut. Thattathin Marayathu and Thira are among the other films he has directed. He was last seen in Kurukkan in 2018. While Kalyani had recently appeared in Antony and Sesham Mikeil Fathima, Pranav had not done any films after Hridayam.
