Pranav Mohanlal, Nazriya Nazim and Kalidas Jayaram to team up in Anwar Rasheed’s upcoming movie?

Following the superhit Hridayam, Pranav Mohanlal will next be teaming up with director Anwar Rasheed for an upcoming movie, if rumours are to be believed. The movie, which is reportedly scripted by Anjali Menon, also has Nazriya Nazim and Kalidas Jayaram as part of the cast, as per reports.

While there has been no official confirmation regarding this, considering the lead trio and Anwar and Anjali teaming up again, if the rumours are true, the movie could prove to be one of the most-anticipated films in recent times. Anwar and Anjali had previously teamed up as director and scriptwriter for Dulquer Salmaan’s Ustad Hotel and as producer and filmmaker for the superhit Bangalore Days.

Pranav is already on a high after the blockbuster success of Vineeth Sreenivasan’s Hridayam, which hit theatres earlier this year and is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar. The actor’s performance in the movie, which also has Kalyani Priyadarshan and Darshana Rajendran, was lauded by audience and critics.

Meanwhile, Nazriya had previously starred in Anwar’s Trance in 2020, after making her acting comeback with Anjali Menon’s Koode. The actress is also set for the release of her Telugu debut Ante Sundarniki, which has Nani as the male protagonist.

Kalidas, who has completed shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s Vikram and Santosh Sivan’s Jack N Jill, is shooting for the Tamil-Malayalam bilingual titled Rajni. The actor’s previous release was Backpackers, which is streaming on Roots. He was also part of several direct-to-OTT releases in the past two years including Amazon Prime Video anthology Putham Pudhu Kaalai, Netflix anthology Paava Kadhaigal and ZEE5 release Oru Pakka Kathai.

Anwar, meanwhile, was also set to make his Tamil directorial debut with a script penned by Midhun Manuel Thomas. The movie was supposed to have Arjun Das in the lead. Anjali is currently working on an OTT anthology segment that will also have Nadiya Moidu as part of the cast.
