Prabhas announces 25th film, Spirit, his first collaboration with Sandeep Reddy Vanga

Prabhas has announced his 25th project, a film titled Spirit, which marks his first collaboration with director Sandeep Reddy Vanga.

The actor took to social media to make this announcement alongside a first look poster.

Spirit is produced by T-Series and Bhadrakali Pictures.

The announcement comes on the heels of speculation that Prabhas’ 25th film would be with a ‘maverick’ director with a ‘cult status’.

Vanga had made his directorial debut with the 2017 Telugu film Arjun Reddy. The hit film starring Vijay Deverakonda and Shalini Pandey had spawned a Bollywood remake called Kabir Singh, also helmed by Vanga.

The director’s next film will be Animal, which is touted to be a crime drama, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Parineeti Chopra.

According to reports in Bollywood Hungama, Spirit will feature Prabhas in a ‘never before seen’ avatar. The film will reportedly go on floors next year.

Prabhas’ other upcoming projects include a period romance Radhe Shyam with Pooja Hegde, slated to release on January 14, 2022.

The actor is currently filming for his upcoming movies, Adipurush and Salaar. In the former he will share screen space with Kriti Sanon and Saif Ali Khan. In the latter he will appear alongside Shruti Haasan.
