Pothugadda is a film that has been in the making for quite some time now. It has skipped its theatrical release and will now be directly released on OTT. We at OTTplay have already revealed that ETV Win has bagged the digital rights to this film and will make Pothugadda available for streaming on January 30, 2025.
Well, ETV Win has released the trailer of the film, and it looks quite gripping. The trailer starts with a young couple deciding to elope. They take a bus and begin their journey. Little do they know that they will get caught in the local politics of a small village named Pothugadda. Local politicians plan an attack on the bus, as it carries loads of money for election purposes. How the young couple survives this onslaught is the basic story of Pothugadda.
The crime thriller has been directed by Aksha Veeram, and he has made sure that the story is narrated in a very gripping manner. Aadukalam Naresh and Shatru play the main villains in this film, and they are pitted against each other. Most of the film takes place at night, and the visuals that showcase the thrills catch your attention right away.
Prasanth Karthi, Vismaya Sri, and Prudhvi Dandamudi play key roles in this thriller, which also has a strong backdrop of deceit and romance. The story of the young couple is connected to the politics of Pothugadda, and how all of this unfolds will only be known when you watch the film.
Marcus M has composed the BGM, and it elevates the scenes quite well. By the looks of it, Pothugadda will offer solid thrills, and for the first time, Pushpa fame Shatru will be seen in an author-backed role. Aadukalam Naresh is also seen in a solid role, and his dialogues and screen presence hold your attention.
Anupama Chandra Koduri and Dr. G. Sharath Chandra Reddy produced the film on a low budget, but the production values are top-notch. ETV Win has managed to buy the rights to films like Pothugadda and has given the makers a solid platform to showcase their talent. We need to see whether the film lives up to the hype created by its trailer. Stay tuned for more updates on this project.
