Pothugadda teaser: The ETV Win original is rustic, intense and content-rich

Pothugadda is ETV Win's latest original, featuring mostly newcomers in lead roles. We at OTTplay previously reported that Pothugadda would skip its theatrical release and debut on ETV Win on November 14, 2024. Ahead of the OTT release, the makers have unveiled the teaser, which appears intense and action-packed.

The teaser highlights several issues, featuring various characters fighting for their rights. One storyline centers around a village head’s dominance, while another follows a couple striving to leave the village for a brighter future. What stands out in the promo is the background score, which effectively heightens the intensity and draws immediate interest.

Shatru of Pushpa fame plays a key role in the film, with his character looking intense in the teaser. Pothugadda also stars Prithvi Dandamudi, Vismaya Sri, Aadukalam Naren, and Prasanth Karthi in pivotal roles. The film is written and directed by Raksha Veeran, who has done a commendable job elevating a familiar village-set story.

Pothugadda crew details

Despite the relatively new cast, the promo successfully generates interest. Pothugadda is produced by Anupama Chandra and Sarath Chandra and promises to be rich in crime and emotion. Shravan Bharadwaj composed the music, while Marcus handled the background score.

ETV Win acquired the film’s digital rights at a nominal price, according to reports. Recently, numerous low-budget films that couldn’t secure theatrical releases have premiered on ETV Win as originals, and Pothugadda follows this trend. The makers are optimistic that once it’s out on OTT, the film will spark conversation.
