The poster features the actor, clad in a cloak, atop a horned horse-like creature, with the only reference to a possible title, a horse-shoe that looks like the alphabet ‘U’ emblazoned on it.

Kannada cinema’s Real Star, actor-director Upendra officially announced his next directorial today, which comes a good seven years after his last, Uppi 2. Upendra, though, kept it as cryptic as possible. The film, which will be a home production, along with KP Sreekanth and G Manoharan (Lahari Films LLP), will be made as a pan-India film, if the lettering in different languages is any indication.
The poster to announce the film, though, piqued everyone’s interest, as it has a digital image of the actor, clad in a cloak, riding a horse-like horned creature, in what appears to be a post-apocalyptic world. Revealing the poster, which had everyone trying to guess the title, Upendra wrote, “In the film Industry, it is you who created the story Upendra, it is you who wrote the screenplay & dialogues for 33 years, it is you who directed through your whistles and claps. I dedicate this film to you the praja prabhu fans.”
More details on Upendra’s comeback to direction are expected shortly, but he is currently gearing up for the release of his much-delayed film Home Minister, in which he is paired with Vedhika. The film also marks the Sandalwood debut of popular music director Ghibran. Apart from Home Minister, Upendra is also still working on R Chandru’s magnum opus Kabzaa, in which he plays an underworld don. The film, which also has Kiccha Sudeep in a pivotal role, recently added Shriya Saran to its already big ensemble cast. It is expected that Upendra will begin work on his directorial once he completes Kabzaa, Lagaam and any pending commitments on Buddhivanta 2 and Trishulam.
