Romantic dramas that take place in a family are proving to be popular at the box office these days, as evidenced by the success of films like Zara Hatke Zara Bachke and Satyaprem Ki Katha, according to a trade source. Because Salman enjoys reading novels of this nature, he did not hesitate to give his approval to the film Prem Ki Shaadi. However, putting the finishing touches on the screenplay took some time. The crew kicked off preproduction one month ago, laying the groundwork for principal photography to begin in August.

The film, which is the fifth time that the two will be working together, is centered on a traditional Indian joint family. In the following weeks, they will make a decision regarding the leading lady.

A source told the tabloid that it recounts the events of a couple's life together, beginning with their wedding and continuing through the ups and downs of parenthood and into their golden years. On a set in Mumbai, they will begin the first schedule of the tour. The film is aiming for a release around Diwali in 2024.
