Pori Moni teams up with Soham Chakraborty for an Indian film, Felu Bakshi, directed by Debraj Sinha

It has been rumored for some days that Bangladeshi actress Pori Moni might appear in an Indian film. The actress came to India two days ago. She shared the good news after going back to Bangladesh. She said that she would act in a Bangla film, Felu Bakshi, made in Bengal, India.
The film will be directed by Debraj Sinha. Shooting will start on March 26 in Kolkata. Pori Moni confirmed the news on Wednesday in the newspaper Prothom Alo and said, “I signed for a film Felu Bakshi. The shooting will start this month. This is my first film in Kolkata.”
Pori Moni also said, “I long thrived working in Kolkata films. I saw their work well-organized and the pre and post-shooting journey wonderful. Hence, the work is done neatly. Last year, while taking an award in Kolkata, I said that I wanted to work there. Then I started getting scripts. I selected this one.”
Felu Bakshi is a thriller where Pori Moni plays a mysterious character Labanya. Soham Chakraborty will play opposite her. The actress did not want to divulge much about the story. She said that she would be coming to Kolkata next week and participating in a grooming class for five days. She also has an ad shoot at the same time.
Pori Moni, a popular actress in Bangladesh, frequently comes to the headlines owing to her personal life. Her relationship with Sariful Raj was in the headline last year. She overcame the complications and is now a single mother of her son Padma. Pori Moni, in an interview with Anandabazar online, said, “I want no one’s favour, though this a personal matter. Raj did not take any responsibility for our child but demanded custody. I don't want that. He did not enquire about Padma till today.'
