The latest Tamil movie Por Thozhil has emerged as one of the top choices of the movies goers in South India. And the producers seem to have decided to maximise the theatrical success of the movie by delaying its digital premiere.
Earlier, Por Thozhil was expected to become available for streaming on SonyLIV by July 10. But it seems the subscribers will have to wait a little longer to watch the movie from the comforts of their homes. According to sources, Por Thozhil will not release on OTT this month. It's safe to assume that the film will have its digital premiere in the first week of August.
As Por Thozhil continues to run successfully at the cinemas, especially in Tamil Nadu and Kerala. According to the producers, the movie has grossed over Rs 50 crore from its worldwide ticket sales, making it one of the highest-earning Tamil movies in the first half of 2023.
Por Thozhil is directed by Vignesh Raja, who has also co-written it with writer A. Alfred Prakash. The film revolves around a police investigation into a series of murders targeting young women. The film presents a captivating premise in Por Thozhil, delving into the profound influence of a child's upbringing on their choices and character.
