Star Telugu and Tamil dubbing artist Srinivasa Morrthy passes away in Chennai

Looks like the Telugu film industry is going through a torrid time today. Earlier today, veteran actress Jamuna passed away due to age-related issues. Now, news has come out that star dubbing artist, Srinivasa Moorthy, the voice of Suriya, Ajith, and Mohan Lal passed away due to a massive cardiac arrest in Chennai at his residence.
Srinivasa Moorthy has been in the industry for over two decades now and has been dubbed for some big star heroes in the south. For the Telugu audience, he is popularly known as the voice behind star hero Suriya. Srinivasa Moorthy has been dubbed for over 1000 movies in Telugu and Tamil in the last two decades.
He is also a dialogue writer for dubbed films and specializes in converting dialogues from Hollywood and Bollywood films to Telugu. He even started a coaching academy in Chennai and has so many popular dubbing artists who have learned under him. Srinivasa Moorthy was dubbed for Suriya for his popular character Rolex in the blockbuster hit Vikram which had Kamal Haasan in the lead.
Srinivasa Moorthy won several awards in his career for dubbing and Suriya makes sure that no one dubs for him apart from Morrthy. Ajith also met Morrthy many a time and congratulated him for his voice. The funeral of Srinivasa Moorthy will be held in Chennai later today and the Tamil and Telugu stars are paying rich tribute to this legend.
