Pooja on being called opinionated
During an interview with Bollywood Bubble, Pooja was questioned if she was ever asked to shut up and keep her opinions to herself. Responding to this, Pooja said, “They (people) still tell me to shut up. They told me to shut up at 17 and at 52. You should keep your opinions to yourself, you should not unnecessarily rock the boat.”
The actress further said that it is not easy to have strong opinions and it is also not easy to have opinions that do not align with the majority population. She also stated that she does not believe that truth is where the majority is, in fact, she believes that truth is scarce where there is the majority. Why Pooja said yes to Big Girls Don’t Cry
Revealing the reason that made her say yes to Big Girls Don’t Cry, Pooja said that there are very few stories being told about girls at this age and these are the formative years of someone’s life. “In a world where there is so much importance given to material things, nobody is working on their inner self... and here is a show that takes the audience into a boarding school where people come after leaving their home and you feel a sense of freedom, within the confined restrictions,” she explained.
The actress stated that role models and stories like this are very important in today’s world. "Each character is unique and each has a different problem, and the series showcases how they overcome their own biases. These are the role models we require out there, where people see them struggling to find answers," Pooja Bhatt remarked.
