Ponniyin Selvan 2: Vikram, Trisha, Jayaram, Sobhita and Vikram Prabhu watch the magnum opus with audience

The much-awaited Ponniyin Selvan 2 has opened to positive response among critics and moviegoers. Fans of various actors in the film are going gaga over the performances of their favourite actors. It is expected that audiences are going to throng movie halls across Tamil Nadu in the coming days.

The lead cast of Ponniyin Selvan 1 watched the movie along with the audience last year. This time, too, they made it a point to enjoy the Mani Ratnam directorial with the viewers. The makers have revealed a pic of the actors posing together for a photo from the theatre from where they watched the film.

Vikram, Trisha, Jayaram, Sobhita Dhulipala and Vikram Prabhu are all smiles while posing for a photo. They watched PS 2 at Palazzo theatre in Chennai and interacted with a few audience members. Karthi visited Kasi theatre amid a huge number of fans who were cheering for him.

Jayam Ravi was spotted in Vettri theatre; he greeted the audience who arrived in the morning to catch the FDFS of the most-awaited sequel. Fans are now looking forward to a picture where all actors are seen together. Aishwarya Rai was said to be joining them in another show which is expected to happen soon.

All eyes are now on the film's BO performance. With no major movie hitting the screens in Tamil Nadu for several weeks, it is likely that PS 2 would give a tough competition to PS 1. But can PS 2 dethrone PS 1? Movie buffs have their fingers crossed.

The performances of Vikram and Aishwarya Rai stand out in PS 2 while other actors have done justice to their respective roles. The unexpected change towards the climax has surprised many cinephiles. Many opine that the twist Mani came up with was completely unanticipated.
