With a little more than two weeks left for the much-awaited release of Ponniyin Selvan 2, cinephiles are wondering about the lack of promotional activities from the crew. The cast of the movie is yet to begin promotional tours to reach out to audiences in other territories.

Though its trailer was launched in a grand manner a couple of weeks ago, film buffs opine that the project lacks a proper buzz this time around. Lyca Productions and Madras Talkies, which bankrolled the big budget film, have now come up with an update.

They have announced excitedly that PS 2 is going to be the first south Indian film to have a release in 4DX format. Though many seem elated with this update, it looks like there are a few who aren't aware of the technology behind it, if we are to go by the posts in the comment section.

Some of them have even pointed out that there is no movie hall in Tamil Nadu which could equip 4DX format to offer an immersive experience. However, a couple of them disagreed on that opinion which led to an argument. Nevertheless, what the makers set out to do seems to have worked.

Ponniyin Selvan 1 was the first Tamil film which was released in IMAX format. With this update on the second installment, it is likely that audiences now have one more reason to look forward to the second part.

After unveiling the first single Aga Naga from the movie recently, they released Veera Raja Veera, the second song a couple of days ago, which left music lovers ecstatic, thanks to the unique composition by AR Rahman and inspiring lyrics from Ilango Krishnan.
