Mani Ratnam's magnum opus Ponniyin Selvan 2 finally released in theatres worldwide. The stars of the film, who have been touring across the country as part of the Chola tour recently got emotional as the film's promotions drew to a close. Sobhita Dhulipala, who has been part of the tour, got emotional and shared a BTS video from Ponniyin Selvan 2 on her social media page.
In the video, she is seen along with her co-star Aishwarya Lekshmi and the two are seen getting all goofy in their room. They are also seen saying that they will never get to wear such attire again. Last shooting day of PS1 and 2. Post picture wrap. Thank you for the love, for the memories, for the honour that it has been.I’m Romba romba nandri (sic)." To which Aishwarya Lekshmi comments that the video was not supposed to go public.
What's interesting is that Sobhita Dhulipala plays Kodumbalur princess Vanathi in the film and Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the boatwoman Poonguzhali. In the film, both of them cannot see eye to eye as they both have a soft corner in their heart for Arunmozhi Varman. Fans are excited to see them both bonding like a house on fire behind the sets.

Interestingly Trisha's Kundavai and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's Nandini too are arch rivals in the film but they share a warm rapport off screen. In fact, Trisha had revealed that she was interested in playing Nandini but the film's director Mani Ratnam had already signed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for the role.
