Ponniyin Selvan 2: Mani Ratnam, AR Rahman, Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi feature in a riveting BTS video

The makers of Ponniyin Selvan 2 have kicked off promotions quite aggressively in the last few days. The team is gearing up for its audio launch and trailer release at an event to be held in Chennai tomorrow. Film lovers are eagerly waiting for the promo videos, and the project's release is exactly a month away.

They have now released a BTS video which has Vikram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi and Jayaram featuring in it. Mani Ratnam, editor Sreekar Prasad and AR Rahman are seen discussing with their respective team members on the last minute post-production works.

The video ends with Jayaram expressing excitement at the arrival of the much-expected sequel's release. His stand-up comedy during the trailer launch of Ponniyin Selvan 1 garnered praise from all quarters. Movie buffs are eager to know if he would come up with similar surprises this time around.

While Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan graced the event last time, it is only the latter who is going to be present this time. Red Giant will be presenting the second part in Tamil Nadu on April 28. The Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada versions, too, will be hitting the screens on the same day.

The characters of Vikram, Aishwarya Rai and Jayam Ravi are expected to get more screen space in the second installment. The film's first single, Aga Naga, was unveiled recently. All eyes are now on other songs in the movie which will be released tomorrow.

The crew is likely to indulge in promotional tours in other cities from the first week of April. However, they are yet to reveal their plans, leaving cinephiles guessing.
